Sweet Pea - Lathyrus odoratus "Spencer Wiltshire Ripple"

Can be sown indoors in a tall plastic pot with tightly packed potting soil, press the seeds down against the well-moistened soil and cover with about 2-3 cm of soil.
Place the pot in a plastic bag with the opening upwards, and it will be like a small mini greenhouse.

When the seeds have started to germinate and have grown about 10 cm, they can be planted out in a protected position. Sweet peas can withstand a lot of cold, but if it gets too cold, they can be protected with fibre cloth or similar.

Feel free to pinch the plants when they are about 15 cm high, which will encourage the plant to branch.
Pick, pick, pick, and your sweet peas will bloom all summer!
