Poppy - Papaver somniferum "Bowling Ball"

After flowering, this Poppy leaves behind impressively large capsules, which can be up to 8 cm in diameter if left to stand for a while, but can vary slightly. Excellent for drying for use in bouquets or other arrangements both summer and autumn.

Poppy can be directly sown when the soil has warmed up.

Can also be sown in autumn for earlier flowering. Self-sows easily.
