Love-in-a-mist - Nigella damascena "Miss Jekyll Rose"

Flowers that produce decorative balloon-shaped seed capsules for fresh and dried bouquets.
Although the vase life is not much longer than 4-5 days, it still stands beautifully in the vase with a growing seed capsule that lasts significantly longer after the petals have fallen off.

Sow indoors 4-6 weeks before planting out and the risk of frost is over.

Light germination
Can also be direct-sown, even in autumn for flowering the following year.

Harvest fresh when flower buds are turning color for longer vase life, harvest when fully open for shorter vase life
Harvest to dry when seed capsules are firm.
