Strawflower - Helichrysum bracteatum "Bright Rose"

A Giant Strawflower that is far from bright pink as the name suggests, but resembles the beautiful Strawflower "Purple Red".

Sow about 6 weeks before the last frost.
Perfect for cutting both fresh and dried. Also useful as dried in autumn bouquets and wreaths.
Light germination, requires light to germinate so do not cover.

Pick the flowers just before they open, they open further when drying. Strip the stems and hang in a dark, dry place.
May need to be supported so they can withstand rain and wind.
