Love-in-a-mist - Nigella papillosa "Delft blue"

Flowers with splashes on the petals in various shades of blue and gray, which after flowering produce decorative balloon-shaped seed capsules.
Can be used for both fresh and dried bouquets.

Sow indoors 4-6 weeks before planting out and risk of frost is over.
Cover only lightly with soil.
Can also be direct sown, also in the fall for flowering the following year.

Harvest fresh when flower buds are turning color for longer vase life, if harvested completely open it will last a shorter time in a vase.
Harvest to dry when seed capsules are firm.
