Hollyhook - Alcea rosea "Chater´s Maroon"

The hollyhock is a biennial and forms a rosette of leaves the first year, then blooms the following year, forms seeds and self-sows.
Drought-resistant and thrives in most soils but prefers a warm, well-drained location. Has a taproot that reaches deep into the soil for nutrients.
