Product Description:
Eucalyptus leaves are excellent and very beautiful to use in flower arrangements.

Suitable for both fresh and dried use.

Eucalyptus is easy to grow and can be covered with a thin layer of vermiculite.

Sow eucalyptus indoors as early as January-March, or 10-12 weeks before planting out and the risk of frost is over. You can sow all year round, as long as you provide extra light.

Feel free to mix in perlite in the planting soil to provide more drainage.

Plant in a larger pot because its roots need plenty of space and are a bit sensitive to repotting. Cover the sowing with plastic and air holes until the seeds germinate.

When they have started to germinate, remove the plastic and place them under grow lights at room temperature. Unlike other seed sowings, these like to be warm.

Eucalyptus thrives in acidic soil with a low pH value, plant in rhododendron soil.

Can be kept outdoors during the summer, but for it to overwinter it needs access to a bright and frost-free place.

When transplanting, eucalyptus has a rather delicate root system, so handle your plants carefully.

Do not throw away seeds that do not germinate immediately, the seeds can lie dormant until conditions resemble their natural requirements for germination. Sometimes pots that have been set aside to be thrown away can surprise you.

EUCALYPTUS DUNNII is a relatively fast-growing eucalyptus, compared to other varieties it both germinates faster and is often one step ahead of the vegetation. In its natural environment it can become a 15-50 m tall tree and prefers fertile, loamy soils with a lot of moisture, but preferably well-drained (clay, silt or sand) and warm temperatures with sun. Best tolerates temperatures between 0-42 C.
