We at Days in Gray want to brighten up gray days with flowers. Something that not only brings joy during the warm period when it blooms the most, but the entire process when it comes to planning, sowing and planting out to a finished flower bouquet in your arms. We want all the steps in cultivation to bring blooming joy to you, our customers. Because it certainly gives joy to see something grow, from a small seed to a blooming flower full of life.
We always strive for good quality in what we do and in our seeds and since we are involved through all the steps from purchasing from a supplier, packaging to the finished product, we can influence the quality for the better. We carefully select our range and test grow a lot of our seeds, choose serious seed suppliers who can deliver from the freshest harvests possible with good quality and we also do random samples of seeds where we test the germination ourselves. Although many seeds can last for several years with good handling, we set a BF date/last month of sales when we pack our seed bags, so that you as customers can feel confident that you are getting seeds of good germination and good quality.
We follow the rules that apply to packing and selling seeds according to the Swedish Board of Agriculture.
We strive to only trade in non-treated seeds, with treated seeds this means that they have been treated with pesticides for preventive purposes.
Pelleted seeds are something completely different and are not the same as treated. They have a protective casing around them to become a little larger to, for example, be easier to handle. However, pelleted seeds should be used within one year of purchase and they are delivered in small tubes as they are fragile.
We get a lot of questions about whether our seeds can be used in organic farming, and according to the Swedish Board of Agriculture, commercial seeds can be used, as long as they are not grazed. Our seeds are therefore very suitable for use in organic farming.
There are many steps before the seed bag is fully packed with sweet little seeds that are waiting to germinate into a new life.
