Basil - Ocimum basilicum "Spice Boys Ararat"

Basil Spice Boys Ararat has metallic grey-purple leaves that become darker with purple when the plant is in bloom.

Nice filler for bouquets with a licorice-like flavor.

Sow indoors 6 weeks before planting out and when the risk of frost is over.
Basil should not be sown one by one in each pot, rather sow several seeds in each pot or plug.
The seeds should not be covered, alternatively a thin layer of vermiculite.
Light germination.
Can also be direct sown when the soil has warmed up and the weather has become warmer.

Best harvested early in the morning when the temperature is cooler and the leaves are less likely to wilt.
