Physalis alkekengi

Also known as Physalis franchetti

White flowers and has decorative inflated fruits, which first turn green and then turn orange-red, similar to small lanterns. These are nice to dry and use in autumn decorations or Halloween decorations.
Spreads easily.
Cut back in spring to ground level. Propagate by division or seed.

Light germination
The fruits are not edible.
