Group 3: Blooms late spring, summer and autumn

Lisianthus with slightly ruffled petals and an antique brown shade.
The Rosanne series is often characterized by its unique, special colors. The full, double flowers top its strong stems with a good vase life.

Sow indoors about 12-13 weeks before planting out and the risk of frost is over.
Light-germination, can be covered lightly with Vermiculite to maintain a more even humidity.
Keep the seedbed moderately moist, not too wet but not too dry.

Lisianthus thrive in warm conditions, which is why they are recommended to be grown in greenhouses. They like well-drained soil with lots of organic matter.
A challenge to sow, as they take time, so be patient!

Be gentle with its delicate roots when transplanting and make sure they do not become root-bound.
The plants need support, such as a net support.

Harvest when one or more of the flowers on a stem have started to open.
